Discover Arusha National Park

There’s nowhere else on earth that the transition between a pristine mountainous landscape and a bustling city landscape is as abrupt as it in Arusha National Park. Tucked away in mainland Tanzania, this protected park is largely dominated by the imposing Mt. Meru and wears the crown of the ‘most topographically dynamic and beautiful wildlife parks’. Not only does it shelter the Ngorongoro Crater but it is also home to the planet’s largest population of African giraffes.

The Park’s Highlights

As you enjoy the sights of the white and black Colobus monkeys, you will have an unclouded view of Mt. Meru, the continent’s 5th highest mountain peak. It is also interesting to know that the mountain is still an active volcano and billowing fumes can be occasionally be seen rising from the highest summits.

Easy To Reach;

You can reach easily to the national park. It is in the Arusha city and the airport of the city operates flights from Dar es Salaam. You can drive from Arusha city to the national park which will take you hardly 1 hour and 40 minutes via road.

Outstanding Wilderness;

As the landscape of the national park is varied you can easily spot a high range of diversity in wildlife too. Sighting long necks rising straight behind the bushes or small trees can be an amazing view. However, don’t get surprised by this, as the Arusha National Park has the largest giraffe concentration.

The Amazing Carter;

The Arusha National Park is well known for its 2.4km wide carter in the heart of the montane forest. Just use your binoculars to spot the grazing herds of herbivores and some marsh birds on the crater floor.

Float on boat;

Floating in the Momella Lake just beside the amazing view of Mt. Meru and hundreds of flamingos swimming in front of you like showing you the right path as well some flocks flying just over your head.
