Please take a moment to review our terms and conditions before confirming your trip with Tena Expeditions. By booking with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following:
1. Reservations & Deposits
A 20% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
The remaining balance must be paid at least 21 days before the start of the tour.
Bookings made less than 21 days before departure must be paid in full at the time of confirmation.
2. Payment Methods
We accept payments via:
Bank transfer (details provided upon request)
Credit/debit card (subject to processing fees, if applicable)
Cash (for local payments)
Note: All transaction fees, including bank and international transfer charges, must be covered by the client.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
If you wish to cancel your booking, the following cancellation fees apply:

| 61 days or more | Loss of deposit |
| 60 – 45 days | 15% of total cost |
| 44 – 29 days | 40% of total cost |
| 28 – 7 days | 80% of total cost |
| Less than 7 days | 100% of total cost |
No refunds are given for unused services or early departures.
4. Amendments
Changes to existing bookings are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.
Requests for changes must be made in writing and approved by Tena Expeditions.
5. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients.
Your insurance should cover trip cancellation, medical expenses, personal belongings, and emergency evacuation.
6. Health & Fitness
It is your responsibility to ensure you are medically fit for travel and participation in activities such as trekking or safaris.
Please inform us in advance of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary requirements.
7. Visas & Entry Requirements
Clients are responsible for obtaining the necessary visas, vaccinations, and travel documents prior to travel.
We are happy to advise, but final responsibility lies with the traveler.
8. Responsibility & Liability
Tena Expeditions:
Acts only as an agent for hotels, airlines, transport providers, and other independent contractors.
Is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or irregularity caused by third-party services or force majeure events (e.g., weather, strikes, civil unrest).
9. Wildlife & Nature
While we strive to offer excellent wildlife and nature experiences, sightings can never be guaranteed. Our guides will always do their best to provide the best possible experiences.
10. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising will be subject to the jurisdiction of Tanzanian courts.
