Safari Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a representative from Tena Expeditions will be there to warmly welcome you. You’ll then be transferred to Tulia Boutique Hotel in Arusha, where you can relax and recover from your journey. In the evening, our safari expert will meet you for a short briefing about your upcoming adventure. Enjoy a peaceful night as you prepare for the safari experience of a lifetime.
After breakfast, depart with a packed picnic lunch and drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Known as the “home of elephants,” Tarangire also hosts large herds of zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, buffaloes, and a variety of antelope species. You may also spot predators such as lions, leopards, and depending on the season-even cheetahs.
Enjoy lunch at a scenic picnic site inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. In the late afternoon, proceed to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at Eileen’s Trees Inn, a charming lodge set in the green hills near the Ngorongoro Highlands.
After an early breakfast, begin your journey toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park, traveling through the stunning Ngorongoro Highlands. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking scenery and wildlife sightings during your en-route game drive.
Upon entering Serengeti, you’ll spend the rest of the day exploring the park’s vast plains, rich with wildlife and natural beauty. In the evening, arrive at Into Wild Tented Luxury Camp, where you’ll enjoy dinner and fall asleep to the sounds of the African wilderness.
Today is dedicated to a full-day game drive in the heart of the Serengeti. This is the ultimate destination for spotting members of the cat family, including large prides of lions, elusive leopards, graceful cheetahs, and even the smaller serval cat.
The Serengeti’s diverse landscapes offer thrilling game viewing throughout the day. Return to Into Wild Tented Luxury Camp in the evening for dinner and another night under the starlit sky.
After an early breakfast, depart Serengeti and head toward Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most spectacular wildlife areas on the continent. Descend 600 meters into the crater for a full-day game drive. This natural wonder is home to an incredible concentration of animals, including the endangered black rhino, large herds of buffalo, elephants, lions, and abundant birdlife.
In the late afternoon, ascend from the crater and drive back to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Trees Inn.
After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar or your international flight home. This marks the end of your unforgettable safari with Tena Expeditions.
