COVID-19 Updates
Dear Friends,
A year and a half after the pandemic, the world is still suffering, but the vaccination programmes give us a brighter travel future. Since November 2020, Zanzibar has been a popular destination for beach holidays, as things seem to be going better here than in the rest of the world. Tanzania is in fact quite warm, with high humidity that probably slows down the spread of the virus, most facilities are in the open air and activities mainly take place outside.
In Zanzibar an Tanzania, everything seems normal, while we strictly adhere to the health and safety regulations set by the World Health Organization. In accommodation, during transfers, on flights to the beach or safari areas, and during a game drive, we adhere to the standard operating procedures to give you a relaxing and safe holiday
Mainland Tanzania requires
- A negative PCR test certificate upon entry (not older than taken 96 hours earlier) from all arriving passengers.
- Additionally, all travelers arriving from or having travelled via high-risk countries (https://www.moh.go.tz) shall be subjected to a Rapid test at the Point of Entry for USD 10.
- To avoid delays it is advisable to pay in advance online through an automated generated control number obtained after filling the Traveler’s Health Surveillance Form, which is a mandatory requirement.
- Please note that this form can only be submitted within 24 hours before arrival. It’s best to print this form as well and to bring it with you. Link to form: https://afyamsafiri.moh.go.tz/#/home
